My work is influenced in part by box-on-white commercial photography and post-industrial wallpaper patterns drawing a sense of nostalgia for a time that was likely never experienced the way that I imagine it to have been. Taking cues and miscues from personal anecdotes, the cinema, media and politics, I paint from a tiny hand-made polymer clay and paper sculpture, the paintings often have a weirdly quaint and sometimes macabre, sardonic and often self-deprecating humor
